AFC Wimbledon fans have set up a JustGiving page to help the club get games back on at Plough Lane following last night’s extensive flooding and damage to the pitch and stadium.
Over £3000 already raised #AFCW

Following the damage to their Plough Lane home and the likely scenario of fan-owned AFC Wimbledon having to play their games elsewhere for a few months, fans have set up a crowdfunder to help the club get through this devastating scenario. Fair play. 👏 https://t.co/8Mmt85aGsD
Last night, a flood of the river wandle caused massive damage to AFC Wimbledon's pitch and stadium, including damage to the club's museum, which has been built and maintained by a wonderful group of volunteers. It's just devastating. Join me in supporting the rebuild if you can.
@sportswithjohn a few fans have got together to set up a fundraiser to help @AFCWimbledon get through this period following last night’s flood damage - whether to help with pitch repairs or whatever. Would you mind sharing with your Nerdfighters, please. https://t.co/yIHoybd2Te
I wanted to go to AFC Wimbledon, not to report on a grudge match but to tell the story of a football club that is infinitely more than who they are not.
Plough Lane is a special place. That was a special Saturday.

The @AFCWimbledon away shirt 24/25 is a masterpiece.
We asked @daysofspeed, the man behind the design, to tell us a little bit about it.
“This one has been, as the kids say, cooking for an age. Over a decade of 'Can we? Shall we?'”
“Worn on Wimbledon Common in 1894, these are our colours, our history. This is one for the heads. I see you, I feel you. Unashamedly went after the 'Reads MUNDIAL once' crew, to be honest.”
“I like all of this season’s ensemble but this one, well, this is the one.”
