They follow the logic "I want to wear masculine clothes. Girls aren't supposed to wear them. Therefore, I must be a boy since I want to wear them."

@oncloud_e Yes, but ultimately the side-effects progressively became so bad for me I was forced to stop after many many years on them.

@nkthingz Some folks who detrans still have dysphoria and for whatever reason (health, religion, etc.) opt to try to deal with it since other way.

I'm not saying that there aren't a lot of detrans and desisters who were misdiagnosed, but No True Scotsman ain't it.

@neocollector I'd say transmisandry does exist but that it's limited to really niche scenarios. Like, specifically to cis and trans women who hate men and see trans men as the same as cis men.

That said, the vast majority of the time, sexism directed at trans men is misogyny, I agree.
