It'll be a real test for the lads as they take on a team from a higher division but they should go in with confidence and optimism. A real chance build further on recent displays and test themselves even more as a team.

No, this isn't a glitch.
It's a minor case of deja-vu tomorrow as Convo are at the Simpsons ground again, to take on Childwall Abbey again, but it's their 1sts this time in the league cup.

Belated full time scoreline from last week's game but just as pleasing.
Convo came away with 3pts last week as 3 second half goals and a clean sheet secured the victory away to Childwall Abbey.
The scoreline makes it sound more comfortable than it was at times.

It's been a while hasn't it?

A few weeks of international tournaments (report to follow), cup-tie walkovers and unbelievable rainfall has meant we've not had a competitive fixture for almost a month.

Rest assured however, the lads have been staying focused and training hard in order to maintain their upturn in form.

Today we resume league action away to Liverpool Ramblers. It'll be a tough game as it always is Versus LRFC but the lads will go in with confidence.

Man of the Match this week was Alex R with an all action performance. Great to have him back after some time out of the team.

A share of the spoils this week for the lads in another really competitive game versus Liobians.
2-2 and a lingering sense that we should really have come away with 3pts. We go onto next week and try to keep improving.

The 2nds, meanwhile, are on an away-day to take on Port Sunlight vets in the friendship cup. The chaps will be champing at the bit at the prospect of today's game after a week off.

Convo are back in action after last week's washout and today we take on Woolston Rovers in the Intermediate cup.
The lads will hope to build on the last result and get a cup run going.
