"The AI doesn't have any feelings, care, empathy of any kind. It doesn't have any religion, conscience, morality. Nothing bothers it at all. It's trying to align to user preference. And so when you get right down to it, do we have to take precautions? Absolutely, we need to take precautions.
For an AI bot to say, I can help you-- the AI bot should be saying, go talk to a priest, go talk to your parents, et cetera. Here's some suicide counseling resources that you can use. Your parents care about you. et cetera.

The idea of trying to pretend like you care and then turning right around and making recommendations for them to commit suicide, this is unethical."
