Jay Collins supports a small government approach that gives students real options. He wants to expand vocational schools, apprenticeships, and life skills training while strengthening cybersecurity. He believes students should have more than one pathway instead of being forced down the same narrow path.
Erika Donalds is pushing the opposite with a big government plan that would create a massive new system to track and control every student in Florida.
It gets worse when you look at their records. Byron Donalds and his wife have pushed to weaken federal education resources. His wife, Erika Donalds, has pulled in millions of dollars in management fees from taxpayer-funded charter schools. Look at what she did with Optima Classical Academy in Fort Myers. For years she blamed high costs and hurricane damage for why it couldn’t open. Once she was forced to hand it over, the school reopened with a grand ceremony just months later.
Jay Collins’ wife, Layla Collins, is a veteran, former substitute teacher, and current school board member. She’s made it clear that education should be child first and student first, and that it’s dangerous when people who profit from education try to shape education policy.
The Donalds have turned Florida’s education system into something to be profited from. The Collins are committed to protecting and strengthening it. Jay Collins is fighting to give Florida’s children real choices and multiple paths forward, not lock them into one narrow future.
Choose wisely Florida, join the fight.

Today we exposed that the City of Jacksonville has doubled down on wasting taxpayer dollars.
2025: $199M wasted.
2026: $275M wasted.
Total excessive and wasteful spending over the last THREE years….$623M!!
Or maybe just spend less. FL will have four straight years of spending reductions once next year’s budget is signed later this month.
Some localities have doubled spending. Operating at spending levels of, say, two years ago is easily achievable — and would greatly help our homestead property owners.
Governor-we appreciate your effort in bringing this forward. It shouldn’t have been a battle and your plan actually benefited the voters in a bigger way. I’m sad to see it was adjusted so significantly. It is a still a good step in the right direction and we’ll show up to vote it in!
NBC2 footage shows Byron Donalds' advisor Larry Wilcoxson being restrained by deputies at a GOP meeting. This follows video of Donalds and Wilcoxson cornering & threatening Kelly Lichter at Seed to Table.
They have a pattern of bullying and intimidation.
While insurance rates and home prices crush families, candidates can’t hide behind slick TV ads. We’ve made great strides in the last eight years, and we can’t afford to go back.
I'm challenging @ByronDonalds to debate me, face-to-face. Any stage. Any moderator. Any time.
He owes you answers about his record, not more scripted talking points. Join the call. Sign the petition now and demand the debate that Florida voters deserve.

Calling for "unity" before voters even cast a ballot is a joke. Florida is a state of primary elections, not hand-picked crownings. Step up and debate Jay Collins.

@Collinslayla@BridgetKaneFL Well, it is Byron. He’s a lot of things but having a touch of class has never been anything anyone has EVER said about him. Such chicken little for such a big guy. I mean Jay only wants to debate him, not fight him.
Byron Donalds says “no one meets my criteria” (whatever that means)…. so he refuses to debate the candidates.
This is a petition created by the Collins Camp to demand a debate for the Florida gubernatorial primary.
Feel free to share this after signing it and let’s get a debate with ALL the candidates hosted by the RPOF, and not just a fake Sunshine Showdown.
I was number 53, what number were you?
