Yes, but I live 10 minutes away and drive through there frequently to ride on the rail trail about 1/2 a mile from there. I have seen how - during the summer when there are very few college students there - most of these places are now occupied by non-college students.
This had nothing to do with targeting a white girl. There are many non-whites at York college. You put any other race in the body of the white girl attacked and the exact same response would have happened. The white girl was not targeted BECAUSE she was white. She happened to BE white.
We need to understand the distinction so we do not promote stereotypes and make this a racially-based attack.
You had 100 or so townies there to watch drag racing done by townies in a normally college-populated area that is no longer mostly college students. A college student engaged townies and asked them to get off their property. They challenged them. And the townie didn’t want to look weak in front of their friends and initiated the attack. If the girl on the porch was a Hispanic or black college student - the outcome would have been the same.
So I don’t want this to be fanning flames of stereotypes. This is NOT a race-based attack. It just happened to be that the attacker was black and the victim was white.
The main issue I see is that the york college student (I was one for some time) should have gone indoors and not engaged the townie. That was our number one rule back then. College students are not carrying firearms. But you have no idea of townies are. For that reason, we went out of our way to not engage or provoke townies.
@robertshaftoe41@zerohedge unfortunately it doesnt come down to race. we have people in this area of all race causing violence like this. its not just about race.
@USMS_Philly and @PAStatePolice seek the public's assistance in locating a 2020 Ford Transit van. Investigators believe fugitive Danelo Calvalcante stole the van. There is damage on the left rear fender and a cooling unit on top. Anyone with info is asked to call 717-562-2987.
