Setting up the Raspberry Pi environment for my scrolling LED marquee project. Installed Raspbian OS and Python libraries. Sandboxing GPIO pins now with a breadboard breakout (see test LED in pic) then experimenting with programmable control of serialized WS2801b LED strips.

Collaborated with an intelligent lighting company this past weekend on innovative concepts around automated lighting fixture control. Got a great tour, met passionate folks, and demonstrated my hardware/software prototypes created for fun.
Garage rock wall is done and the kids are loving it. Connected a Pioneer receiver to power the in-ceiling Klipsch audio speakers. Wired up IR extender so kids can easily control the unit. Sounds great!
Helped my brother to setup and program a white tie Gala in Illinois this year. Used my prototype .NET DMX software to control fixtures, including #BlizzardPro lasers with fantastic results. Few photos of the event attached.
Device I built for controlling 48 outputs via DMX from my code. Each port can draw up to 12 volts at two amps and can be used for devices such as solenoids, motors, electric fuses, etc. Hacked a PC case w/ power supply added DMX cards, press terminals, LED & lots of soldering
