@FumiaBeatrice@punishednuz Agreed. As much as I hate spoilers, Eva is so much more than the sum of its plot (and the last couple episodes really show that) and so many only engage with it on such a shallow level (which the OP is evidently reaching well beyond).

I honestly don't understand it. There's disagreeing with the initial criticisms or being happy people have come around, but how do you just deny any negative attitude having ever existed?
Similar phenomenon occurs with Halo Reach as well.
Quality of the movies aside, it is really bizarre that zoomers are trying to rewrite history and claim that nobody every hated these movies in their time, and that the opinions of countless people who watched them in theaters were actually the result of a single YouTube video
