“So What’cha Want” is from the Beastie Boys’ 1992 album Check Your Head. The track marked an important shift for the group, as they returned to playing their own instruments in the studio rather than relying so heavily on samples. What began as an attempt to build around a soul groove ended up becoming something they recreated themselves, giving the song its raw, funky energy through Ad-Rock’s guitar, MCA’s bass and Mike D’s drums.
It became one of the standout singles of the band’s early-’90s comeback and remains a fan favorite for its chaotic humor, explosive momentum and instantly recognizable video.
Joe Rogan: "Short attention span stuff is very popular, even with me. But I have been resisting it more and more lately. I'm like a heroin addict, slowly weaning myself off the drug. And the more I wean myself, the better I feel."
@cannotstress@SmokinSignal@Canada4Europe Wow an anti send our kids to the carnage rally - while the soviets murdered and raped their way through poland - exactly the same
@SmokinSignal@cannotstress@Canada4Europe I love everyone that now says Russia won the war not mentioning they started the war as cohorts of the Nazis by dividing Poland
@bowl_of_worcel@SaraEisen Well, it was a bad call, you clearly disagree? And Americans on principle wouldn’t want the best player out on the other side. But yes, as a default, I want World Wars 1 and 2 and the Cold War roles to be considered at all times before complaining about a corrected call.
@bowl_of_worcel@SaraEisen Well we did save the entire free world a couple of times - is a fair call in a sport we don’t even care about too much to ask in return? And Belgium? Didn’t the Nazis conquer you in like three hours and we came to your rescue? Grow up
