Guided by key pillars set by this year's Presidency, @COP28 successfully concluded the first-ever global stocktake, operationalized the Loss and Damage Fund, and launched additional commitments including the Alterra Climate Fund to combat climate change.

“FAST is a great example of COP to COP collaboration and continuity across Presidencies. We hope this strong commitment continues with FAST, a legacy project from Sharm El Sheikh, is prioritized on all future COP agendas,” he said.
“The GST has to address the current inequalities and challenges in finance flows. Without money for implementation, any language of fossil fuels phase-out or phase-down will make a good headline but will be meaningless on the ground because countries will not be able to deliver,”
The inaugural Youth Stocktake Report was officially launched during the “Youth Stocktake of UNFCCC Processes” session at COP28 today, kickstarting a dialogue on bridging the gap in providing support to the youth in their efforts to participate in climate policy & decision-making.
