Anglo American’s El Soldado copper mine in Chile has earned The Copper Mark after completing its second assessment cycle in the Copper Mark’s assurance framework. The site is located 125 km north of Santiago and produced 42,600 tonnes of copper in 2025.
🇮🇳 Three #zinc-producing sites in Rajasthan, India have begun their assurance journey with us: Hindustan Zinc’s Dariba Smelter Complex, Rajpura Dariba Mine, and Sindesar Khurd Mine. The underground mines feed the smelter, which transforms concentrates into high-purity products.

🇸🇪🇩🇪 Elcowire’s Helsingborg and Hettstedt wire rod fabrication sites are the newest Copper Mark Participants. The sites in Sweden and Germany have capacity to produce more than 300,000 tonnes of wire rod per year, including pure #copper and alloyed wire rod products.
We have awarded The Zinc Mark to Mitsui Mining and Smelting’s Kamioka site. This smelter in Japan produces high-purity zinc ingots and alloys which are used to plate steel used in automobiles and construction.
The Copper Mark has appointed Daniel Ortega Pacheco to its independent Board of Directors to serve initially as a non-executive Director before taking the role of Chair of the Copper Mark’s evolved Board once it is established later this year.

🇨🇱 Antofagasta’s Minera Los Pelambres mine has completed its second assessment cycle and has been awarded The Copper Mark and The Molybdenum Mark. In 2024, the site in Chile produced 319,600 tonnes of copper and 8,400 tonnes of molybdenum through a milling and flotation process.
