Last Tuesday, the team at CORA were hoisted up 57 metres to observe the ongoing repairs to the Abbey Church Spire on Parnell Square. Up there, we got to see the 160 year old corroded iron cramps being replaced with new stainless steel ties. We also got to see the amazing views!
Looking forward to working on the renovation of the Natural History Museum with a fantastic Design Team.
It will be the first major refurbishment undertaken on the building since 1856.

A busy fun-filled week at CORA. Round 1 of our November Bake-Off kicked into action on Tuesday where Sammy's lemon cake won ahead of some stiff competition, followed by a company outing to @escapeboats Dublin where we had three teams battle it out to see who could escape first.
Two fascinating case studies: John Casey Chartered Engineer, MD @CORA_Eng ‘Treasury Building Renovation’ & Nick Taaffe, Chartered QS and Senior Development Manager @RespondHousing, ‘The Real Cost of Renovation of Derelict & Vacant Properties for Residential Use’, @SCSI study.
Thank you to Paul Collins and Sean Devine from GABE, subcontractor to Jons Civil Engineering who gave a very interesting overview of their cleaning and painting work on the bridge to date.
