The US team has lost to Belgium.
The really sad part of the story is that not only did we lose, but we were also deprived of the opportunity to lose with dignity.
As usual, Trump tried to rig the system. He called FIFA President Gianni Infantino (the same guy who made up a FIFA Peace Prize for Trump) and asked him to lift the red-card suspension of American striker Folarin Balogun, essentially robbing the US team of its dignity.
It didn’t help. We still lost. But now, without dignity.
That’s what we get for electing a morally bankrupt president who has cheated all his life.
He cheated on his wives. He cheated in business. And just last year, he robbed the American people of $1.2 billion through his crypto scams.
He has also been caught multiple times on camera cheating at golf: improving his lie, moving his ball, and taking drops that violated the rules. Even some of his playing partners have acknowledged it publicly.
Americans were proud of the US team. They earned their place through talent, discipline, and hard work.
They deserved a better ending to the story.
Trump robbed them of it.
