Check out the exquisite stone sculpting and master masonry at the #SwaminarayanMandir in Paris. Such intricate working in stone is not mere sculpting, but it is poetry in stone.

[NFDC India @nfdcindia]

NFDC’s Antarjali Yatra (1987), directed by Goutam Ghose and based on Kamal Kumar Majumdar’s Mahayatra, is a poignant critique of 19th-century Bengal’s rigid socio-religious customs. It follows Yashobati, forced into a symbolic marriage with a dying man, exposing practices like Kulin Brahminism and Sati.

The film won the National Award for Best Bengali Feature (1988), was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and earned global acclaim, standing as a landmark of Indian parallel cinema.

the burka band performing “blue burka” in 2003.
founded in kabul, afghanistan, they were an anonymous all-female indie rock n’ roll group who performed in burkas to protest the taliban. it’s unclear where the group is now, as they haven’t been heard from in years.

As a single woman in her 30s, this book is a poetic ode to the challenges and delights of not centering (or not) romantic love in your life.

Wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone in their late 20s or 30s who is single ❤️
