Feeling very privileged to play the sport I love while writing on things I care about for @inkcapjournal.
In her spare time @Scotlandteam cap @CoreenmGrant likes nothing better than to take a step back + take in the natural world around her...
However, on the rugby field with @SaracensWomen she has been on the front foot of late + I caught up with her

@Matiasisback@Scotlandteam@irenemgrant Definitely, theyโre great! I think the training jersey style is quite narrow at the hips so would recommend probs sizing up rather than down ๐ค
Pleased to publish this new @inkcapjournal feature on the trials and tribulations of Lake Windermere, by @CoreenmGrant. Partly a deep dive on what's killing the lake, partly a profile of the total inspiration that is @MattStaniek, who is trying to save it.

Delighted to publish this feature in @inkcapjournal today. It explores what is happening beneath the surface of Lake Windermere - and the efforts of the brilliant @MattStaniek to save it.

A really useful summary of the party manifestos in this week's @inkcapjournal digest. Free to view this week, though I highly recommend subscribing to this fantastic journal:

It is publication day! I put my heart, soul and SO MUCH time into writing Nature's Ghosts.
It is a book about nature: about the rich & magical landscapes of the past, which humans destroyed, but which we can try to rebuild.
I hope it makes a difference.
Happy publication day to my brilliant editor @some_yeo, author of this magnificent new book. There are very few books I have been this excited to receive in the post! Do yourself a favour and go buy it now.
I would highly recommend - I guarantee youโll be surprised by what you didnโt know about our ways of walking!

Last month I read The Lost Paths by @cornish_jack - and it features in the first @inkcapjournal monthly book review, out today.
I first spoke to Jack about paths back in 2021, so it was a delight to be able to delve further into the history of British footpaths via this book.
The very first @inkcapjournal BOOK OF THE MONTH feature is out. For April, we have chosen Tir: The Story of the Welsh Landscape by @carwyn_graves. An absolutely brilliant read, and a much-needed addition to the rewilding pantheon. Read more here ๐
