I think my overall view on the matter is as a community we need to set standards for more than just commentating. If most still agree that getting to a WSOP final table and winning a bracelet is still a big deal - then each of them should be treated equally and with respect. Some thoughts:
1. Why is it that some final tables get all the glory and lightsโฆ while others (like the one I won) take place in the corner of an event hall?
2. For each final table, why doesnโt a previous winner of that same event commentate? Maybe partnered with someone that keeps things a little lighthearted and fun? Because at the end of the day this is a game - an entertaining relief to whatโs otherwise a pretty miserable life for most.
3. Why in the name of god do we need a 2.5 hr delay? Is 30 minutes out of fashion?
Iโm sharing this for three reasons:
1. To congratulate @JoshuaArieh for another insane run in THE toughest field there is. Backing the best eventually pays off - they are the best for a reason.
2. Even though Josh can easily charge a markup - he doesnโt. Which is incredibly generous, but also super smart for someone that sits as Head of PokerStake at @pokerstakecom.
3. I wanted to eliminate any wonders on trusting PokerStake as being anything but legit - less than 3 hours later from the cash and the money is already in my account. As a marketing person I know that proof matters.. so here is mine.
Way to go - all around - Josh. Backing you for the rest of summer ๐
