I’m super curious if people today still watch and believe the News (any of them in America). I have my own opinions after traveling much of the world over a 15 year span, but with all that has come to light, and all the controversy lately. I’m more interested in the thoughts of other people, what is your serious take on it all? Do you still watch and/or believe the news?

This students question obviously came from a place that required more consideration of his question. I think the answer the professor gave was good, however, it did not address the question entirely.

I would have liked to know where the base question would have went, and why it was asked in the first place.

Somehow I think this is one topic today’s generation has no problem with (changing who they are). I tried to tell a cop once that “I identified as someone that didn’t receive a ticket today.” He stopped and looked at me for a second, started laughing & said “you just made my day, slow down and be safe”. So it’s true, it definitely works! 😉

I appreciate the communication, I believe it’s important to have these discussions, so let me give you the exact sources so that we are all informed.

From LDS own scripture, Doctrine and Covenants 132:19-20, says the exalted "shall be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them." That's in the Doctrine and Covenants itself, on the official Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints website.

The world creating detail isn't something I made up it's from their own prophet, Brigham Young, in the Journal of Discourses, volume 17, page 143: "they will never cease to increase and to multiply, worlds without end... they then will be prepared to frame earths like unto ours and to people them." That's quoted on FAIR, the LDS Church's own apologetics organization, not by a critic.

HOWEVER, that was never my main point. My actual issue isn't who builds which planet, it's the core claim that regular people can become gods at all. That's what's questionable to me. Whether the "creating worlds" detail is exactly right or not is secondary to the bigger claim: that people can attain godhood in the first place.

Yes, there are some good deals to be had 💯!
However, lots of these items are defects from Chinese junk and returns from shady purchases. Where a lot of times even though it seems like a good deal you may end up holding an expensive paper weight and return are extremely limited. But don’t get me wrong, you can also find some good deals if you have the time and patients. Just be cautious.
