Blessed Carlo Acutis, Pray for us! I've just released a book about him: 'The Boy Who Knew (Carlo Acutis) Did you know he not only knew he would die young, but he predicted the cause of his death when he was a small child?

A #BookReview of Pilgrim Tales An anthology of fiction by the @CatholicWriters https://t.co/UGtGX9tYr2 featuring Nancy Bechel, @mbakeranalecta, Judy D’Ammasso Tarbox, @KarinaFabian, @JaneLebak, Mary McWilliams, Karen Meyer, Rietta Parker, @JohnRuberto, Laura Ruberto, Andrew Seddon, Mary Jo Thayer, @CorinnaTAuthor, @ARKwatson, Isabelle Wood This is an excellent collection of stories across genres and styles. There is definitely something for everyone. And to be honest the faith in these fictional stories is inspiring across the whole collection. This is a great anthology I can easily recommend. #Anthology
Is Lord Brooke, sitting one seat along from the sponsor of the Bill, advocating for assisted dying as a tool of population control? An extraordinary contribution suggesting human life be actively sacrificed to prevent climate change. This bill drives utilitarian thinking!
A #PrayerOfTheDay A Hunter's Prayer taken from @CorinnaTAuthor's A Right Rex Rodeo part of a litany to a fictional Saint Desmond, a sort of #JurassicPark Saint Benedict\Saint Francis. I have been praying this one since I encountered it. #Prayer https://t.co/2LwfuI0wCd
Catholic Teen Books is taking a peek at characters’ Christmas lists! What’s on Josh’s list? 🤔 Check out the unSPARKed series by @CorinnaTAuthor https://t.co/jmQZ4JtxF2 #Catholicteens
#BookReview Weigh the Odds by @CorinnaTAuthor unSPARKed 11 This story takes place over just a few days. There are surprises right from the beginning. I honestly did not think the risk and the danger could be pushed further in this series, and yet Turner has found a way to do it. It is a fast paced heart pounding pager turner. #YA #MG https://t.co/AIeRMILZgW
This is now moving away from evidence based or reasoned moral debate, it is death-cult-speak (Dignity in Dying & co), making certain terms a thought crime. Don't say Suicide when talking about #AssistedDying#MiniTrue#DoubleSpeak
Samaritans joining the debate is interesting because it exposes how, if the Bill passes, the NHS will have to both (i) facilitate suicide for those wanting to end their lives in certain circumstances, (ii) intervene to stop those wanting to end their lives in other circumstances
A Yes vote Friday is not a vote to “have more debate”. It's a vote to approve the bill as it stands, since post-second reading opportunities for scrutiny are extremely limited.
Wrong idea, wrong bill, wrong time.
🚩🚩🚩ORGAN-HARVESTING euthanasia victims in Belgium
If you’re not haunted by the UK assisted suicide bill already, remember that in Belgium they are already harvesting organs from euthanasia victims and calculating how many more they can get
I’ve wrestled with the philosophical arguments around assisted dying.
But, in the end, I oppose it on practical grounds.
The safeguards in the Bill are grossly inadequate and will leave the most vulnerable dangerously exposed👇

A little-discussed aspect of the Leadbeater bill is Clause 25, which gives doctors and others total immunity from civil suits, even when they botch the assisted suicide procedure. This shows how much confidence the bill's promoters have in their assisted suicide process.
