โA Nation Divided: Reliving the 1921 Anglo-Irish Treaty Debatesโ
Last night, in the Aula Maxima, we stepped back in time to one of the most defining moments in Irish historyโthe Treaty debates that shaped the future of our nation.
Join us on Thursday, February 13th, at 7 PM for a webinar by Jonathan Murphy on organising Heritage Council School Visits and Tours to Enhance the Teaching of History.
@White_Chapel0@ainehyland In 2019 there was an average of 14% of โAโ grades between those sitting the โoldโ HL and OL History JC . Comparing this figure to the 2.8% of Distinctions awarded to those sitting the โnewโ common level paper in 2022 shows a drop of 11.2% in those receiving the top grade.
Our association along with others and our members have been highlighting this for several years. Unfortunately we have had no real engagement on the issue that continues to affect our students. #jchist#histchatie
@White_Chapel0@ainehyland There is still a disparity if you use pre-COVID era figures for conparison - 6.7% of students received a H1 in LC Hist in 2019.
