Within each of us lies the ability to do anything we set our minds to.
We just have to be brave enough to try.
Proud.

Jason Flynn was just 13 when his older brother, Paul, died in a car crash in 2008.
Our coversation covers the written promise Jason made to Paul in the days after he passed, the letter from James McGarry that he still has, & matchday visits to the grave.

“Don’t be a dick.”
One of the many takeaways from a stroke survivor session at #UKSF25, about how we can create SAFE spaces for patients.
Soon followed by the poignant reminder that, “Anyone in this room could be the next survivor.” Don’t take it for granted that you’re not.
We took on challenge knowing that both of us covering 154KM non stop, meant a high chance of failure. Ultimately, after almost 20 hours on our feet non stop, we called it a day.
Grateful to all for their donations. Looking forward to having another crack at the WHW soon.

154K non stop on the West Highland Way. That’s the plan starting tomorrow morning at 5AM. Trying to raise a few quid for the Jack and Jill foundation.
This one is going to hurt.

Attended last week's GPA Pride brunch not as a sportswriter but as a gay man. And so I never intended to write about the day.
But such was the courage displayed by the men present, I’d be letting myself down if I didn’t use my platform to follow their lead

My good friend Jimmy and I are taking on a bit of a challenge on the 19th/20th July.
The West Highland Way is a 154KM trail in Scotland which we’re going to try and complete non stop in one push.
All donations to the Jack and Jill Foundation welcome.

It's fascinating to see where technology could take neurological rehabilitation.
We're currently researching what brain activity looks like when patients are using exoskeletons. The end goal in the research field is an assistive gait device powered by a patients brain signals.
