As an atheist, I completely agree.

The challenge isn’t whether the Bible should be taught. It’s how to teach it without either promoting it or mocking it. A good educator should be able to do it.

I’m not convinced many of my kids’ teachers possessed that level of nuance. Too many seemed either beaten down by the system or swept up in the culture wars, making it difficult to teach the subject without pushing their beliefs.
