Everyone needs to be on demon mode for this Mbappé Ballon d’Or campaign. He deserves to win it.
Individually, no player has been better than Kylian Mbappé this season.
And please, don’t come here telling me he doesn’t deserve it because of trophies. The Ballon d’Or is an individual award. If it were purely about team trophies, they’d hand out 11 Ballons d’Or to every starting player on the team that won them.

We see players win back-to-back league titles and Champions League. That’s happened before.
But how often do you see one player finish the same season as top scorer in his league, top scorer in the Champions League, top scorer at the FIFA World Cup, the first player ever to win the World Cup Golden Boot in consecutive tournaments, and also became the all time top scorer in FIFA World Cup history.

Kylian Mbappé did all of that in one season and If the Ballon d’Or is meant to reward the best individual season, then it’s only right that Mbappé wins it.
