I don’t understand what the issue is here, both of them are just following the command from god from the Bible below.Why are you acting like Taliban now? Why can’t someone practice their Christian values below and treat women accordingly?

* Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 6.4.7: If a woman refuses intercourse, the man should try to win her with gifts. If she continues refusing, he should “strike her with a stick or with the hand” and proceed. The Sanskrit expressly contains yaṣṭyā, “with a stick,” and pāṇinā, “with the hand.”

* Vishnu Smriti 25.12–13: A woman must “not act by herself in any matter” and must remain subject to her father, husband and sons.

* Vishnu Smriti 25.14: After her husband dies, a woman must preserve her chastity “or ascend the pile after him,” explicitly presenting widow immolation as an option.

* Vishnu Smriti 25.15: “No sacrifice, no penance, and no fasting is allowed to women apart from their husbands.” Obedience to her husband is presented as her means of reaching heaven.

* Vishnu Smriti 25.16: A wife who fasts or performs penance while her husband is alive supposedly shortens his life and “will go to hell.”

* Baudhayana Dharmasutra 4.1.20: A wife who refuses her husband and thereby remains childless is to be publicly denounced as an “embryo-destroyer” and expelled from the home.

* Mahabharata, Anushasana Parva 13.38: “There is nothing else that is more sinful than women. Verily, women are the root of all faults.” This is spoken by the apsara Panchachuda during a dialogue, not directly by Krishna or the narrator.

* Mahabharata, Anushasana Parva 13.40: Bhishma says, “There is no creature more sinful…than women. Woman is a blazing fire…the sharp edge of the razor…poison…a snake.” The passage also calls women “living lies.”

* Taittiriya Samhita 6.5.8.2: In its sacrificial explanation, the text states that women are “powerless,” “have no inheritance,” and speak more submissively than a bad man. This appears within a ritual narrative, but the wording is present.

* Atharvaveda 6.11.3: A prayer asks that a male child be born “here” and that the birth of a girl be sent elsewhere.

* Aitareya Brahmana 7.13: Commonly translated as describing a daughter as a source of misery while presenting a son as the family’s protector or saviour. Translation and verse numbering vary, so the edition should be identified when quoting it.

Hold on. Which Christians in America, or anywhere else, are demanding Taliban-style laws?

Which Christian church is demanding that:

• Girls be banned from high school and university?
• Women be removed from their jobs?
• Women be forbidden from travelling without a man?
• Women be erased from public life?
• Women be arrested or beaten for showing their faces or speaking publicly?
• Hindus be killed simply for practising their religion?

Name the church, show me the Christian teaching and identify the country enforcing it. If you can prove Christianity commands these things, I will leave Christianity today. Go ahead.

I am a Christian, and if anyone calls for Hindus to be killed or persecuted for their faith, I will be among the first to oppose them. No excuses and no double standards.

You cannot take one idiot’s post about a Hanuman statue and compare every Christian to the Taliban.Threatening to destroy the statue is wrong. It is private religious property, and American religious freedom protects it.

Now answer my question. When Hindu mobs enter churches in India, assault pastors and worshippers, terrorize women, smash crosses and statues and tear up Bibles, should Christians be concerned too? Or does religious freedom matter only when your statue is threatened?
