This week I was invited into @CorpusCMid
I spoke to the whole school, to kick off their “World of Work Week”.
It was brilliant to meet the children and staff. I answered LOTS of questions and watched the kids perform a song from Matilda, When I Grow Up.

Incredible day @mbro_townhall for the 4th @Literacy_Trust’s #BoroReads Our Stories Poetry Slam - 18 teams fought for the title! @Archi_Primary and @CorpusCMid crowned 2023 joint winners! Amazing panel of brilliant judges, blown away by the standard of performances!
EYFS and Key Stage One children had a great time playing on the farmyard inflatable equipment. They had the opportunity to play in the ball pool, bouncy castle, soft play set and slide with their friends and teachers.
To celebrate our British Values topic, Nursery families shared different foods from their own culture. The children gathered together to taste Italian tortellini, African bread, Chinese crackers, Indian rice and British sausage rolls.
This week’s fun fingers challenge was to use their fine motor skills to attach the elastic bands to the stand. They were very focused during the activity and counted how many elastic bands they had attached.
Children who have PE on the same day as their school photographs are encouraged to wear their full school uniform that day.
They may bring their PE kit with them and they will be given the opportunity to change once their photographs have been taken.
Mr Henney’s handwriting club will start again next week and will take place before school on a Wednesday morning only. If you feel your child would benefit from a little extra help in this area, please feel free to speak to their class teacher :-)
