@schmangee My friend wanted to learn to drive so I let her practice. I didn't explain that when you pull off to the side of the road, you need to slow down first. Needless to say, the car ended up in a ditch. Luckily us, property, were fine and some nice strangers helped pull the car out
Definitely learned this the hard way. Also, don't settle for someone who is emotionally unavailable... also learned this the hard way.
Denver, here I come Thanksgiving week '22!
@cityplannerd @cityplannerkate
I walked to five different houses to give away tomatoes. Two of those houses peered through their window and walked away thinking I wanted to sell them something.
Itโs days like this I miss living in Pittsburgh. Yinz donโt know how to be neighborly out here
@schmangee Powerful story... but no "villain."
Your image of trucks in your book do provide some "bad guy" context in the form of storytelling but we need more of that
@schmangee Truth to that too. I was at dinner with 4 others not that long ago and 4/5 of us have had life altering injuries as a result of collisions with cars. 3 of us on bikes.
@SarcasmDood LOLZ what do you think your taxes went to when we bailed out Wall Street, the auto industry, the gas companies... the list goes on my man. Student loan forgiveness is the least of this country's debt problems
Everyone who is #BidenDestroysAmerica bc he forgave $10-20K in student loans probably had some sort of family supported financial help if they went to college... just sayin'
Think about your logic. Supporting students is supporting the future. It is an investment to our country
@drbtsplanning Depends on the PhD. There's the Eisenhower fellowship but that's transportation specific.
Also, as someone who has gone through the process-- don't accept if they don't give you a full ride. You'll still need support past the tuition and stipend but they should cover that part
@contrerasforca Don't get me wrong: I am happy to have $20K of my $100K+ student loans forgiven. But yes, he can and should do more. We could like, just forgive it all, and then he wouldn't have to continuously make announcements about it
