@MikeMumbelz@FDMurphy1635@HeimishCon You removed the context. Jesus uses a metaphor about mission priority (Israel first). The word is kynaria, not an insult. The woman responds with faith, and Jesus praises her faith and heals her daughter immediately. The point of the story is her remarkable faith—not rejection.
@ttxwe@GeneralMCNews Jesus was called “Rabbi,” but the New Testament also presents Him as far more than a teacher. He is the eternal King whose kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36) and the one given all authority in heaven and on earth (Matt. 28:18).
@wrathoconn@ttxwe@GeneralMCNews Jesus grew up in Nazareth (Galilee), but the Bible traces His lineage to the tribe of Judah (Hebrews 7:14; Rev. 5:5). “Jew” in the 1st century didn’t just mean someone living in Judea—it referred to the Jewish people as a whole. Geography does not equal lineage.
@GmorganJr They were given 40 years to repent just as Nineveh was given 40 days. It was all prophesied in the Bible.
The Gospels break down Mary's blood line. Of course she was Jewish.
@LadyRose322 @PopTarian @davidicke I do agree that the Vatican put their personal spin on things, but the original verbiage is pretty much consistent throughout all english translations, which came from more original Greek and Hebrew copies that are consistent with what we have today (nearly 2k years later)
@LadyRose322 @PopTarian @davidicke I was written around ~30 - 150 AD, depending on the particular book. Most of the NT are letters to various churches by the apostles, and much of it is well documented in history, and some even preserved. The scriptures were then assembled together many years later
@AmadeusMeyer @PopTarian @davidicke And the Muslims' God is alleged to be the God of the Bible; as they base their Quran on it, as well as the NT. They believe that Jesus is a prophet, although is not God. Judaism and Christianity believe in the same Father God. Judaism largely rejects Jesus as Messiah.
@AmadeusMeyer @PopTarian @davidicke the gospel scriptures and the apostle letters all date back to around 100 AD. Some time during the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Jesus has several hundred witnesses upon resurrection. The congruency between Jewish OT, the foretold Messiah , and the NT is incredible
@rc2cwy6cf6@EPzwvr@JennyWakefiel12 no man. That is messed up. That is demonic infiltration of the church imo. Completely goes against God's order of things.
@LauraRiggaro@WeeGeePhotos yeah church and "godly" men have turned many people away from Jesus imo. Its for that reason that I havent been to church in many years, but I still consider myself a strong christian. I personally follow Christ and not church
@LauraRiggaro@WeeGeePhotos yeah agreed. its still very rough; but its why I and many other Christians cling to the hope that we will see our loved ones again some day.
@TNTJohn1717 Its a good warning that we should all be mindful and aware, but I also see a revival happening. So i dont agree with everything that she is saying
@rc2cwy6cf6@EPzwvr@JennyWakefiel12 This meme highlights a female head pastor who shouts her personal prayer language in front of everyone. I personally see problems with that, so you really shouldn't assume that all evangelicals believe that way. It doesnt make it demonic though (imo)
