A lot of public universities’ upper admins, hiding behind the sadly flawed opinion-and-not-science based guidelines of the @CDC, do not understand that reduction of community transmission is the only thing that will keep the virus in check. A 🧵 and a resource below
The point is, in terms of whether it has evolved, there are two options. 1) No, in which case all the known modes of transmission still apply. 2) It has changed mode rapidly in which case all bets are off and any claims that we know what it will do are guesses.
