@VeraBurd97@JasonDarby The important thing is too focuss on yourself, and then you will be ready when opportunities do come around.
Prepare for the best (as apposed to how the saying goes ๐)
@VeraBurd97@JasonDarby Broadening your approach is a good idea. Experienced Narrative Designers struggle with competition in good economic times, so setting narrow sights on what is, lets be honest, one of the most under appreciated and most coveted roles right now is going to require a lot of patience
Let me preface by saying no one is *wrong* when they say a game is too hard or too easy. That said, my head is spinning by how many times I've heard my game is too hard from some and too easy from others. I've heard it's a stiff fun challenge, I've heard it's good because it's relaxing and easy. I've heard it's way too hard and unfair and I've heard it's too easy and thus boring. I'm curious if other folks making games have encountered this much disparity in terms of feedback on difficulty #gamedev -- or if perhaps my game's layered mechanics cause more discrepancy
@mattwhitedev I think, like other souls-like games, dying isn't a "lose condition,' so dying a handful of times doesn't mean the game is hard (it is just a part of the path).
If anyone thinks it is "too easy," they should probably just experiment with some other weapons and abilities ๐
Just over 9 years ago, I wrote my first commit of Potions: A Curious Tale. In just a few days, the demo will be available to the world! It's been a long journey.
I'm excited, scared and, most of all, need your help-- Please wishlist and share!

@VeraBurd97 You have game credits, so don't sell yourself short ๐
It took me years of practice, projects and networking to get anything that I considered "making it," and I lived in Seattle the whole time. Never stop, and enjoy the ride, because the ride itself needs to be worth it to you.
Here's a sneak peek of our new trailer. I can't wait to share it with you all!
I hope you'll join Luna in Potions: A Curious Tale to show every girl that she can craft her own destiny. ๐งชโจ
