Years ago, my goal was to get a movie I wrote produced
I thought it would be my high budget, theatrical release film adapted from my book series
But, my first produced movie was a Family Adventure I wrote for a producer mandate that my manager didn't connect with
But an Indie filmmaker on Twitter put out a call for scripts in Jan '23, and we made the movie with distribution already lined up
Last year as a writer, I had 3 movies drop
Now, I'm lining up 2026 & hoping to see another two produced, both Christmas
It's always money that stops development from moving to pre-production and I realize it's a big deal to get money and shoot a film, even a $200K TV movie
Feelers are out, projects are ready to go
That theatrical-ready script has been optioned 3x & recently fell out of development. Now back on the market. Again, it's money.
