This man is single handedly calling out so much insane disinformation being pushed about data centers by the media right now. No wonder people are so terrified of these things, they’re being promoted hysterical misleading slop about technology all day.
🚨OMG, the @washingtonpost ed board actually gets it right on #datacenters:
"The great infrastructure projects of the 20th century — highways, dams, the electric grid itself — were built in pursuit of a shared vision of national prosperity. No such vision exists for data centers today. Building one starts with taking people’s concerns seriously, getting the facts right — and making the honest case that the AI revolution can benefit all of society."
This is it, exactly.
The right response to the data center backlash https://t.co/UJuacAWwZU

Congratulations to Matthew C. Leone, Regents Professor & Interim Director of Judicial Studies, on being recognized as the University of Nevada, Reno's Distinguished Faculty Award recipient. And congratulations to Alexander Ernest Saporito and Carmina Chaelle Aglubat, two College of Liberal Arts students who received the Brian & Lauralyn Sandoval Political Science Scholarship. I am so proud of all of this year's faculty and student honorees! #GoPack
This is incredibly difficult to write, however a West Point brother needs us right now.
Ben Lemon (2017) lost his 7-year-old son Solomon last month. His two remaining boys (ages 5 and 3) have the same rare mitochondrial disease.
Ben and his lovely wife Katja are not giving up. They are researching trials, going to work, and fighting for their family.
Two things you can do right now: Share this post and support by giving what you can, link below: https://t.co/xnEBsb9F8a
If you have connections in pharma or mitochondrial disease research, DM me directly. Pretzel Therapeutics (drug: PX578) is in trials that could change everything for his boys.
For Solomon. And for the Lemon family. 🖤💛
A day to remember ✨

The idea of the Wolf Pack building a Fieldhouse was first conceived in 1998. Nevada finally broke ground on the project yesterday. Here's how it was turned from dream to reality.
A historic day for the University of Nevada👏
𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑲 𝒀𝑶𝑼 to everyone who made tonight’s momentous groundbreaking for the indoor fieldhouse and the resurfacing of two turf fields a reality!

Nevada athletics will break ground on its $28 million Fieldhouse facility next Tuesday with the project expected to be completed by summer 2026. https://t.co/o4cSUXdpKV
@nplareau Fascinating thread - thank you! There is quite a bit of debate in Tahoe boating circles… based on your knowledge, could an app have warned of this? Related, do you have a favorite wind/wave/weather app that incorporates primary sources like you’ve cited for realtime conditions?
