Die Ausrufung von Konsultationen nach Artikel 4 des Nato-Vertrags ist angesichts der Serie von Sabotageakten, Anschlägen auf Munitionsfabriken und Drohnenvorfällen auf europäischem Boden ein absolut naheliegender und folgerichtiger Schritt. Dazu müssen wir verstärkte, unangekündigte Schutz- sowie Luftverteidigungsübungen an den gefährdeten Flanken durchführen. Putin überrascht man nicht mit Protestnoten, sondern mit strategischer Entschlossenheit. Dazu zählt die sofortige Schließung von Spionage- und Einflusszentren wie dem Russischen Haus in Berlin, eine strikte Begrenzung der Bewegungsfreiheit russischer Diplomaten sowie die rigorose Kontrolle der russischen Schattenflotte. Vor allem aber müssen wir die Ukraine mit weitreichenden Waffensystemen wie Taurus befähigen, russische Nachschublinien und Abschussrampen direkt an der Wurzel zu bekämpfen. Flankierend dazu müssen wir im Inland unsere Hausaufgaben machen: Die anstehende Reform der Nachrichtendienste muss jetzt zügig und konsequent umgesetzt werden & wir brauchen einen Gesellschaftsdienst, um unsere eigene Wehrhaftigkeit nachhaltig zu sichern.

🇩🇰Denmark has moved a battlegroup across the Baltic Sea to 🇱🇻Latvia under heavy #JEF nations protection.

Before the RoRo vessel MV ARK Germania carrying armour and vehicles sailed, a 🇬🇧UK P-8 Poseidon searched the south-western Baltic for potential surface and submarine threats.

The merchant ship was escorted by Danish frigate 🇩🇰 HMDS Esbern Snare, 🇸🇪 Swedish corvette HSwMS Nyköping and other maritime patrol aircraft.

More than 800 Danish troops and vehicles are now at Camp Valdemar, joining the Canadian-led NATO brigade defending Latvia.

@VorgBeob It is in fact the multinationality that brings 1 German - Netherlands Corps ahead in this field. Scott was part of the team bringing 1GNC to the JAGIC-top of the game. As well as great cooperation with sister-corps ARRC.

@VCorps is the @USArmy's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside NATO Allies.
