Said this before but worth saying again: amidst all the usual complaints about Twitter (full of nutters, the nastiness and the personality of its owner etc), always feel like a really basic one got overlooked: it just doesn’t actually work very well any more.
CAME FROM NOWHERE. The lovely folks at SBS are replaying one of my favourite projects from last year.
The winding story of a town and its football team was nominated for a Walkley, and it’s such a rollercoaster.
You can watch it now on SBS OnDemand or tune in the old-fashioned way 8:30 tonight:)

New show out tomorrow. Some musical memories of a simpler time with sweary t-shirts, tv shopping throw backs and Ben Lee thrown in. Catch it on @SBS and @SBSOnDemand#Redflag

Just 7 more days. Very excited to unveil this. It’s a genuinely wild story that you think (and we thought) was just going to be a standard rise & fall tech start up cautionary tale and instead becomes a much wilder saga about risk, desperation and much more.
Premiere is next Tuesday right after the excellent @shaunmicallef Origin Odyssey on @SBS (and of course binge it all on @SBSOnDemand )
How some of Australia’s biggest sports betting companies bled a gambler known as the “Golden Goose” of $10 million in stolen funds - yet got to keep the lot. Important story by @SteveCannane and @NinahKopel for ABC 7.30. #ABCInvestigations https://t.co/dQRsFUpsga
once upon a time, there was a brand new #ALeagues club that won Asia’s biggest trophy in just their second year of existence.
so why doesn’t the @wswanderersfc remarkable story sit squarely in the pantheon of great Australian sports moments? https://t.co/ZT2zEhKAea
‘Came from Nowhere’, story of the Western Sydney Wanderers on SBS On Demand. I’m not a footie fan at all but this was wonderful to see. Congratulations.
If you missed last night’s WSW SBS documentary, make sure you watch it.
Goosebumps throughout it the whole time, so many memories were created and one of the reasons a lot of us will never give up on the team no matter what.
Red and Black forever 🔴⚫️
If you don't understand football & its passion, have a watch of "Came from Nowhere" on @SBS - the story of @wswanderersfc first two seasons. The ignorance of @2GB873 & @nswpolice about football culture, football's reflection of its community whether its WSW, @fcstpauli_EN@SunderlandAFC (till I die) or @SUFCOfficial The worst thing in the film - the Murdoch @newscorp media turning on WSW when Murdoch has made SO MUCH MONEY from football via Sky - such hypocrisy. Wanderers aren't MY team but I get them more than most. Oh & it turns out @ManUtd are really quite good....🤣🤣🤣
Ep 2 of The Mission 8:30pm on SBS Television tonight or, if that’s your thing, streaming now. So many more twists to come!! #TheMission
