Another month with another very interesting topic presented at the Journal Club meeting! We would like to thank Luca Marsili who talked about his recent paper "Non-Abelian Domain Walls and Gravitational Waves" (Link for paper: https://t.co/7tWpSLhpyv)
The Whispered Tutorials returned today with a great talk by Nicole Righi (King's College London) who discussed string theory and its natural link to axions. The mini-lectures' aim is to foster engaging, pedagogical conversations within the Cosmic WISPers community.
We had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Benjamin R. Safdi (UC. Berkeley) in our October's Colloquium where he talked about astrophysical axion detection efforts, focusing on compact stars as axion laboratories.
The title of this talk was: Shining axions through astrophysical walls.
October’s edition of the newsletter of the COST action is available now. The aim is to keep you updated on recent and upcoming conferences and postdoc positions on subjects related to WISPs. https://t.co/bHEihlyUsV
Clemente Smarra from Sissa (Trieste, Italy) visiting the Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (Barcelona, Spain) to work with Diego Blas for the one-week Short-term Scientific Mission "Precession of pulsars nuclear spins in the presence of axion dark matter".
WG4 Meeting in Sofia on Oct 23-24 to discuss about different WG4 tasks, including the contribution to the White Paper of our Action and the organization of the next Training School. More info on https://t.co/xCUDXRjszn

The Journal Club is back from its summer break!
October’s session, that took place today, kicked off with an insightful presentation by Jaime Ruz on his last paper: "NuSTAR as an Axion Helioscope" (https://t.co/rwv86yj9H6)
We are excited for what’s to come!
See you in November
Christian Käding (TU Wien) visiting University of Nottingham to work with Prof. @ClareBurrage for a one-week Short-term Scientific Mission to study how finite temperature effects of light scalar fields can be measured in laboratory experiments.
M. Kaltschmidt (Zaragoza Univ.), A. Lella (Bari Univ.), L. Roberts (Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics ) got the COSMIC WISPers Prize 2024 for the three best students talks in the 2nd CA21106 Training School in Ljubljana. Congratulations!
Maria Caruana (Msida, Malta) visiting Scuola Superiore Meridionale (Naples) to work with Prof. Salvatore Capozziello for the one-week Short-term Scientific Mission "Axion-like field theory models and their connection to the
growth of large-scale structures in the early Universe"
We have just held our June COSMIC #WISPers Journal Club session, in which Marguerita Putti (PhD @desy) explained how to access the Axiverse through gravitational waves. Check out her recent article: https://t.co/SBUbymkiPK
