The Columbia County Highway Department has a temporary detour set up closing both lanes of Hwy 16 prior to the bridge. The ramps for Hwy 22 are then being used to reroute traffic up and down the ramps for both STH 22 and STH 16

**ROAD CLOSURE**

STH 22 and STH 16 will be closed due to a vehicle crash. A tractor trailer unit moving equipment on STH 16 struck the bridge on STH 22. The Damage to the structure of the bridge has caused the closure. The bridge damage was to all five of the bridge supports.

Although deer are most active from October to January, deer are still very active at dawn and dusk. Use caution while traveling. This crash happened on STH 16 when a vehicle struck a deer causing it to then impact the truck pictured.
