🚨🔵 BREAKING: Marco Palestra to Chelsea, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties.
Atalanta to receive package over €55m fee plus sell-on clause, long term deal to Italian talented RWB.
Chelsea hijack Inter move and get new talent for Xabi Alonso.
Me in the last few weeks :
- Said Alonso was who the club wanted before anyone else
- Said they were working in silence on deals whilst every fan claimed Chelsea were broke and not doing nothing, now they’re set to sign Palestra
- Said Chelsea were internally looking at adding height and physicality, backed up today with why they are interested in Lacroix
- was one of the first to say Rosenior had a break clause and mentioned the fact that Chelsea needed more maturity and leaders, something which has now been revealed to be what Chelsea are considering this summer.
And much much more before that, so be quiet.
A good fee for a player who has had erratic performances since Christmas and signalled his intent to not stay. Chelsea also already have a good replacement ready in Jorrel Hato. Also wasn't really obvious where he fitted in around Xabi Alonso's plans. As for the player, Marc Cucurella's done well after a shaky start at Chelsea and is a very much a Jose Mourinho style defender. Being an ex-Barcelona youngster and La Masia graduate going to Real Madrid is always a brave move, do wonder if it means Alvaro Carreras will be sold.
Over €50m total package means Chelsea will likely also book a profit on the player. Overall, business that suits all parties.

Would be quite happy to not see any of Enzo Fernandez, Marc Cucurella, Pedro Neto, Malo Gusto or Wesley Fofana not in Chelsea colours next season.
The former has clearly checked out and wants to go, Cucurella can only play well in one system, Pedro Neto's end product is abysmal.
Malo Gusto and Wesley Fofana are simply not good enough. Same can be said about Liam Delap, Tosin, Filip Jörgensen and Benoit Badiashille. At least 1 of Jamie Gittens or Alejandro Garnacho can go. If Roméo Lavia can't stay fit, he needs to go too. Marc Guiu needs to go for the sake of his own career. If a club offers £100m+ for Cole Palmer, I'd consider it.Dario Essugo needs a loan. Trim the squad massively and get players that can cope with the physicality and intensity of the Premier League. It doesn't require household names or big cash splurges, focus on getting people that can deal with the rigours of the Premier League. Chelsea will have an elite manager in the dugout and he will make players better.
The biggest issue this season has been a lack of balance in the midfield and a lack of spark. Estêvão can be a game-changer, you'd imagine Cole Palmer will benefit from a rest and you need to find one or two other players that can win games in a moment.
Club legend Cesar Azpilicueta will retire from football at the end of the season.
Congratulations on a superb career, Azpi, and thank you for everything. 💙
Dear football,
Today, I want to share with you that this season will be my last as a professional footballer. After so many years living my dream, I feel it’s time to start a new chapter in my life.
Being honest, even though I have been preparing myself for this moment, I found it hard to write this letter. After 20 seasons , many people have played an important role in my career.
When I first kicked a ball as a child in Pamplona with my schoolmates, I never imagined the amazing journey ahead. I’m grateful for every moment: the wins, the tough losses, the challenges, and most of all, the people I’ve met and the friendships I’ve made along the way.
To my teammates, coaches, and every staff member at all the clubs I’ve been lucky to be part of, thank you for helping me grow as a person and a player every day. Wearing the shirts of CA Osasuna, Olympique Marseille, Chelsea FC, Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC, and representing my country at the biggest stages has been a true privilege. Every moment has meant so much to me…
