@hudllander @cens105 @dyleoliviazella Unlessss…they use a wig for that scene. The lighting can be dark, since the scene is them driving home at night. With low lighting, a good wig, and a scene that doesn’t involve violent kissing/hair pulling, they can pull it off woth a wig.

Incorporating the additional storylines into it TLG via flashbacks I think would actually bring opportunities for them to get clever with the timeline for narrative interest. S1 got by with subtle adjustments to Ilya’s hair bc the timeline was still linear.

@greenmango94452 @dyleoliviazella But for a legit flashback where the timeline becomes nonlinear, the audience needs some visual queues to differentiate past vs present. Connor’s hair can grow to a decent length by November/December and scenes w/helmets and hats can be filmed earlier.

@swiftrivalry This is what 2" of hair looks like, which would be what Connor will have if his hair grows at an average rate. Although, it seems to me like his hair grows faster than average. It's totally possible he will have legit curls back by November/December!

@swiftrivalry Hair grows an average of 1/2 inch per month. So Connor's hair will be 2.25" by mid December (1/4" now plus .5" per month). If he has hair that grows fast, it could easily reach 3" by that time. This is what a 2" of curly hair looks like:

@Hollanovised Oh, but Ilya’s longer hair still shows under helmets and toques, you say? I’ve thought of this too!
- wigs won’t be obvious if only poking out under a helmet or hat.
- if Ilya’s hair is cut like Connor’s YSL ad, it would be short enough not to poke out under a helmet/hat

@Hollanovised There’s also the fact that they had about 10 days of filming before Connor was spotted w/the buzz cut. Some TLG scenes could have already been filmed with Connor’s longer hair.

- TLG hockey scenes with helmets can be filmed earlier without the hair length being an issue.
- toques can be used strategically for TLG scenes that need to be filmed earlier in the schedule.

@Hollanovised Opt 3 - Connor had to cut his hair for another project, so they are just going to have a short haired Ilya for S2 and S3. (Booooooo!).

@Hollanovised Opt 2 - NO special (wah wah), but they fold in non Hollanov stories periodically as flashbacks to add context to TLG scenes. The shorter hair is a means to communicate past vs present timelines. Ilya’s TLG scenes filmed in December, Connor’s curls are back for most of TLG.

@Hollanovised Opt 1 - 2hr special covering 2017-2020. Filming blocks are worked out logistically where Ilya has a few different hair lengths to indicate different points along the timeline as Connor’s curls grow back. Ilya’s TLG scenes are filmed last with curls present (or Connor wears a wig)
