He felt his face grow hot as she tucked a curl behind his ear, he put down his fork to hold her hand against his cheek as he met her soft gaze

"Oh? What is it my love?"

“That’s good,” she cooed, looking around his office before back to him with a softer look, reaching over and tucking one of his curls behind his ear.

“Um, I came here for something else other than making sure you ate, actually.”

Asmodeus chuckled and put a hand under his chin as he looked at her, his other hand with his fork poised over the bento bowl

"That is very true," he paused briefly at her question, diverting his gaze for a moment before responding -

bouncing her leg as she watched him eat, a soft look in her eyes.

“How have things been in the department? I haven’t been able to be around much.”

She laughed, resting her arms on the deck, leaning her head into her hand.

Asmodeus returned to his seat and pulled the bento box toward him, he always loved the way she knew exactly when he wasn't taking the best care of himself.

"You spoil me too much, you know that right?" He said teasingly as he opened a drawer in his desk that contained-

His smile was enough to ease her fried nerves. It’d be okay. It’d all be okay.

She walked over to the chair he had pulled, sitting in it and giving him a smile back, setting the bento on the desk and pointing.

“Well, first, eat. I know you haven’t. It’s pork belly and rice.”

Asmodeus looked up from his paperwork as his door opened and his wife entered, that soft smile reseved just for her graced his face

"Hello darling," he said as he got up to pull out her chair for her "to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit today?"

Anxious, heavy heartbeats in her chest.

Oh, she hoped this would bring him some joy. He needed it.

Of course, @SpdrHistorian needed to know first, but why did she feel so nervous about telling him?

They talked about it together, they were planning it! It’s not like it was an accident on their parts, this is what they wanted to happen!

But… Asmodeus already had so much-

As happy as them. But they’d save that for another day.

Stepping up to his office door, a small bento box in hand (she couldn’t help it and she knew he probably hadn’t eaten today,) she knocked a couple times very gently.

Then a couple times a little louder before standing-

Well, the doctors appointment confirmed it, but, no- no, no, she’s truly just imagining things! She wanted to do it herself to be certain.

“There’s no way! The doctor was wrong and I’m just being dramatic, way too hopeful, this’ll— Oh—

It happened a couple of mornings and at first she thought nothing of it! She was usually nauseous in the mornings due to missing breakfast.

But this felt different. It felt like it was from a different part of her body.—

Her and Asmodeus had… Talked about it, and while they had been trying, she figured it would take longer. She wasn’t exactly in the best health bc of her hero work, so she took time off, less stress for her while they worked on it.
