@BHarkins96928@heaveniscallin1@BibleInContext1 Which Bible verse supports that dogma?
Ot that no original sin (or a sinless nature) was needed for both sides (Mary and God) to give birth to Jesus?
@BHarkins96928@heaveniscallin1@BibleInContext1 I'm familiar with the doctrine that says all the descendants of Adam are born with a sinful nature.
Are you implying that Mary was the exception — that she never sinned and didn't need her sins forgiven through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross like all the rest?
@S_Coughlin_DC Another question:
Why don't the gospel writers refer to Mary as 'The Highly Favored One'?
Why use 'the mother of Jesus'? Seems way too "normal" if she was 'The Woman' in Revelation.
Maybe even disrespectful.
@S_Coughlin_DC Why does RCC think a sinless nature was needed for both sides to give birth to Jesus?
If RCC thinks being born without a sin nature was part of the full grace/favor she received from God, where is the proof for that in the Bible?
@BHarkins96928@heaveniscallin1@BibleInContext1 If she was sinless (or going to be sinless), why was there a need to save her "at conception"?
And I'm not sure why you bring Luther and Calvin's opinions in this.
We are bound by what is written in the Bible.
@Sinnersaint39 'Go and make disciples', said Jesus.
That is done by preaching to unbelievers (yes) then teaching them to do all that Jesus taught the apostles.
More and better preaching is not enough and cannot make up for not teaching believers properly how to live.
