Gun Violence Awareness Month | Wear Orange
June is recognized as National Gun Violence Awareness Month, with National Gun Violence Awareness Day observed on June 5th.
Throughout the month, communities across the country come together through the Wear Orange campaign to honor the lives lost to gun violence, support survivors, and raise awareness about ways to prevent firearm related tragedies.
This month serves as a reminder that preventing gun violence is a shared responsibility. Promoting safe firearm storage, responsible firearm ownership, and community engagement can help reduce preventable injuries and save lives.
This weekend, we encourage our communities to wear orange in solidarity with victims, survivors, and all those working toward safer neighborhoods for everyone.
🧡 Don’t forget to wear orange this weekend.
🏳️🌈 Happy Pride Month!
Celebrate all month long with events and programs from @lacountylibrary and @lacountyparks that uplift LGBTQ+ voices.
