Porterville celebrated their 45th Flag Day ceremony on Sunday by lowering the previous year's flag and flying a brand new American flag. The annual event honors the history of the flag and the enduring American spirit.

Tulare celebrated Juneteenth on Saturday at Zumwalt Park. The day included food, games, live music, a kids zone, a keynote speaker, and community resource booths. The event was hosted New Life Ministries of Tulare County.

Tulare Noon Rotary celebrated the addition of flag poles to Zumwalt Park with a ribbon cutting on Friday. The civic club donated the installation and work was complete in time for Flag Day!
The event was hosted by the Tulare Chamber of Commerce.
