I'm Court. I have a youtube channel where I review movies, post trailer reactions and entertainment news. I also have a healthy appreciation for Batman.
@johncampea on the show today someone mentioned that the Weird Al movie is based on an old Funny or Die sketch. This is true. It was a fake trailer and was directed by Eric Appel who's doing the movie. Similar story beats and lines as well. https://t.co/SJjpH5FG4k
@MurrellDan Heard it's very common at Venice and Cannes. Been to many movies @TIFF_NET and seen many ovations. Longest was maybe 5 minutes or so, and that's mostly if the filmmaker or cast is in attendance.
@BurnettRM you joked about LOTRs musical on TJCS. Actually was one that premiered in Toronto in 2006 (later London West End). Not an amazing adaptation, but as far as spectacle, most impressive thing I've ever seen live in front of me. Michael Therriault as Gollum was unreal.
@BurnettRM @CameronCrowe Fun fact: when we briefly hear Citizen Dick playing their hit "Touch me I'm Dick", it's not actually Matt Dillon singing, but Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder.
@rtoons just saw the new West Side Story. Really liked the dude who played Riff. But I saw you at Markham Theatre back in the day. You were sharing the stage with my friend Antonio. Great show.
@YRTViva you doing anything to provide safety? Signage/frequent audio reminders that not wearing a mask properly could result in a fine? Riders often don't wear masks at all, drivers as well. Unchecked and no fines whatsoever. Just made the signage and washed your hands of it?

@EricVespe Exorcist III is my all time favourite horror film. Scarier than the first, brilliantly acted, horrifying while really not showing much at all, dryly hilarious (the carp speech!), Fabio cameo which is objectively funny, and best jump scare ever.
