Roe v. Wade should have turned 50 today. Instead, the Supreme Court overturned Roe, leaving it to individual states or Congress to decide the fate of protections for abortion access.
Here’s a few ways we’re continuing to take action in support of reproductive healthcare:
"As our reproductive justice partners would say, Roe was the floor, we need to get to the ceiling.
"Without the framework of Roe, we can advocate for the ceiling as we write ourselves back into the Constitution." - @alexismcgill of @PPact https://t.co/0Ixh6DndfS #RoevWade
Join us for your lunch break at noon on Friday, January 27 on Zoom as we discuss how Roe was never really enough, and what we should keep in mind as we work towards a future of meaningful abortion access for all.

Breaking News: Kansans rejected an amendment removing the right to abortion from the State Constitution, a backlash to the end of Roe v. Wade. https://t.co/yp1vmo2lDZ
Democrats take note. Abortion rights won in Kansas tonight because organizers and advocates and pro-choice politicians did the work and centered freedom. There is only upside to being a champion in this fight.
BREAKING: The Kentucky Supreme Court has just DENIED Daniel Cameron's latest attempt to undo our victory and enforce a complete abortion ban.
Abortion remains legal in Kentucky and you can still get an abortion in Kentucky.
I just signed an executive order that will safeguard anyone seeking reproductive health care in Maine while also protecting providers who deliver abortion care in Maine.
BREAKING: Ketanji Brown Jackson has been sworn in as the Supreme Court's 116th Justice—and the first Black woman to sit on our nation's highest Court. Her professional and lived experiences, top-notch qualifications, and unimpeachable character will serve her well. #AJustice4All

Abortion is the tip of the American iceberg. Everything in this country—from lack of family leave to pay inequality, lack of affordable childcare & defunding publication—is set up to incentivize women to be stay-at-home mothers. That is how America envisions the ideal woman.
Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee will vote today on whether to advance the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, bringing the nomination closer to Senate confirmation. https://t.co/uYVWHmARgK
@nirav_mainecdc @netflix@netflix@AHSFX opened season 7 with a scene on the evening of the 2020 election with the main character sobbing, "What is going to happen to Merrick Garland?!"
...so feel you.
Of the 115 people who have served on the Supreme Court, only three of them have been people of color – and only five have been women. It’s time to bring a new perspective to the Supreme Court. It’s time to #ConfirmJackson. #JusticeForAll#CourtsMatter
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is fair-minded. She is brilliant. And she will be a #JusticeForAll.
Call your senators (888-852-7561) and tell them to #ConfirmJackson to the Supreme Court!
@SenatorCollins is a YES for the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson! Let's show the country that Maine knows Judge Jackson is highly qualified and has been confirmed three times by the US Senate. Thanks for helping make it four, Senator! #CourtsMatter#CourtsMatterToMaine
"Over the course of this impressive career, she has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate three times and always with bipartisan support. As a Democrat and a Republican in our respective roles, we know that access to justice is not and should not be a partisan issue."
