This morning Lieutenant Wes Daniel in our Fire Marshal's Dept. investigated an electrical fire that occurred in a detached garage. Wes took photos, and the resident's statement, which he will use in our report.

This morning we worked with Newton County Fire on a search and rescue training. Artificial smoke was filled through the house and groups went inside to work on search and rescue skills. The county acquired this house and it's being used for training before it gets torn down.

The EMA Dive Team consists of firefighters from Covington and Newton County fire. Yesterday, the Dive Team conducted a training session where they sank a bus and practiced tactics to remove the bus from the water. Anything that could contaminate/disrupt the water was removed.
