The FDA's rejection of MDMA as a treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder today is a blow to drug activists, members of Congress, and veterans who waged an expensive campaign for the psychedelic to be considered an effective and safe treatment. it is a victory for those of us who believe it is inappropriate and corrupt to lobby the FDA concerning specific products and that politics should not trump evidence.

Note that he is no longer a member of the GWU clinical program. Talking to female grad students in a hot tub about his experiences getting fellatio in Germany is offensive, not effective dissent.
