Denae Branch says she came to court hoping to support Erika through Tyler Robinson’s preliminary hearing — but when Branch broke down in the row ahead of her, Erika quietly reached forward and handed her a tissue.

Branch explained the emotional moment in an Instagram video, saying she was at the Utah Valley University event where Charlie Kirk was assassinated. She and the women with her were strangers that day, but later met through a support group for survivors and witnesses.

“We weren’t allowed to wear anything to tell her that we were there for her,” Branch said, after two women in the group were asked to remove or cover their Turning Point USA shirts under the court’s decorum order.

“But that’s just who Erika is,” she added. “She’s good.”
