Buffalo, New York Mayor Sean Ryan (D) calls out the failures of the city’s 100% Democrat-led leadership

“Why do we need to raise taxes? Because our city is broke and it's literally falling apart”

- They need about 40 garbage trucks to do all their routes, but on a given day, about half of their garbage trucks don't work

- You're supposed to replace your heavy equipment every 5 years. Half their fleet is older than 10 years

- They don’t snow plow their roads regularly because half their snow plows don’t work

- Potholed streets are everywhere

- Community centers are all falling apart

“You may think I'm on the set of a zombie movie, but I'm not. I'm actually in the locker room for a City of Buffalo pool that was open last summer. This is what happens when a city doesn't invest in itself and when it's financially mismanaged”

The Mayor is Democrat
All 9 members City Council members are Democrats (no Republicans have held the mayor’s office since 1965)

The mayor is literally telling everyone that they don’t maintain anything, mismanage the money (it disappears) and now they need to raise taxes

Buffalo being called “the best pound for pound sports city in America” made me think of a topic I’m passionate about:

Buffalo SHOULD have an MLB team.

Regional location is perfect.

A retractable dome on the water front brings a new center for events.

Additional metro line added to and from the stadium, also replacing or repairing the Skyway.

Buffalo hasn't made the playoffs since 2011... but

• they were the largest U.S. market for the 2026 Olympic Gold Medal Game
• In 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024 Stanley Cup Finals they were the largest local viewership from a neutral market
• In 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 they were the 3rd largest local viewership of any U.S. city for the complete postseason
• Game 1 tickets this year were $464 USD on average, the most of any team in the NHL
• they're projected as the largest U.S. market for the 2026 regular season

They're the most passionate American hockey city, hands down.
