The IHRA definition of antisemitism labels those who oppose genocide as Racists. The states perpetrating the genocide then criminalise workers for speaking out against Israeli, British and US wars and genocide. THAT is its REAL role: WE MUST CHALLENGE IT!

In Britain and across the “western” NATO countries, thousands of doctors, lawyers, teachers, workers and citizens are under legal attack for defending Palestine.

I was suspended after criticising Israel’s actions in Gaza, and the US-Israeli and British war on Iran. Police arrested me at my home, leaving my children to look after each other. This is the third time I’ve been targeted by the police and I have faced multiple vexatious complaints and attacks at work - all coming from the state and the zionist lobby working hand in glove with our government. The management are complicit and collaborate in creating this politically repressive environment.

In every case of police and workplace harassment, it is the “IHRA definition of antisemitism” that is being used as a benchmark to adjudicate what is “legitimate speech”. The definition was designed as a data gathering tool, and was never intended to become a law, or to be used in this way.

Theresa May adopted it for the UK together with Nicola Sturgeon in 2016 without any consultation. The major political parties followed suit (including Plaid Cymru, SNP, Liberal, Labour and the Greens). It was pushed on police forces, schools and colleges, and Wes Streeting has been pushing it actively into the heart of the NHS.

So now we have a situation in which existing laws (Public order act, professional regulatory frameworks, university regulations and constitutions) are being interpreted in its light, and the IHRA definition is therefore being “applied” as “law” - to silence legitimate speech on Palestine, and criticism of Israeli, US and British genocide.

Imagining that Andy Burnham’s Zionist, Russophobic war cabinet, imperialist to its fingertips, will somehow “offer opportunities to the left” is delusional at best. Dishonesty and personal (petty - so petty!) financial corruption would be a reasonable assessment.

The defeatism seeping from Ben Chako’s every pore when he penned this editorial is palpable, and nauseating in one who has pretensions of being a militant fighter of the working class (as a communist SHOULD be)

The problem of the communist movement is to go lower and deeper to connect with the most dispossessed and revolutionary section of the british working class. The CPB are content to sit on their petty positions of labour aristocrats and ignore the task, while sewing illusions in imperialism.

Chako (and other CPB leaders) reminds one of the labour aristocrats derided by Marx in his famous Letter to Engels:

“…the English proletariat is actually becoming more and more bourgeois, so that the ultimate aim of this most bourgeois of all nations would appear to be the possession, alongside the bourgeoisie, of a bourgeois aristocracy and a bourgeois proletariat. The crisis of capitalism is global and severe. It threatens world war and climate breakdown. Socialists who say we have no time for reheated social democracy that doesn’t challenge the fundamentals have a very good point.

But [Scheredin’s but!] we can’t conjure a socialist mass movement from our heads [certainly not with the antics of Chako, the morning a star and the CPB, whose answer to the burning house of Labour social democracy is to pour gasoline on the fire!] and no such movement exists in Britain now [Heaven forfend that we should put any effort into building a mass communist movement. Oh no!]. Recent experiences [!] do not suggest projects to build a “mass party of the left” from existing groups will move us forward much. [Again, Corbynism, Bennism, Your Party, Left labour MPs and failed Left labour MPs. The supposed definition of madness is endless repetition of the same failed strategy, while expecting different results.

The CPGB-ML has taken the stance that the war against Iran is a predatory war of imperialism and a extension of the genocide of the Palestinian people onto the Iranian people for the purposes of expanding American-Israel influence in the Middle-East through destabilisation. Iran is the pillar of resistance against this ambition and has been victim of sanctions for their resistance since 1979.

Since the beginning of the war, it has become evidently clear that the US and Israel have greatly underestimated the capabilities of Iran to withstand attacks. Their rush to assassinate the head of Iran, the Ayatollah, led them to believe that they could have a quick and easy war, but reality has become a nightmare. The American Empire is crumbling and with it will their global terror.

Zelensky signed decrees changing the command staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Syrsky was dismissed, and Drapatyy was appointed the new commander-in-chief. Skibiuk replaced Gnatov as head of the General Staff.

The infighting and re-shuffle in Kiev will give the Russian forces a further advantage - and is itself a sign of the systematic failings of Ukraine's policy of PERMANENT war with its neighbour, on behalf of NATO. The whole General Staff installed under Syrsky will likely be replaced.

Commanders who were loyal to him will be put into less important positions. Syrsky’s concept of permanent (though mostly unsuccessful) attacks by assault regiments will likely be ditched.
Zelenski’s throne has been shaken. It will not take long for the next crisis to appear.

The Yemeni Armed Forces' announcement of a maritime navigation ban on the Saudi regime is a step that #Yemen was forced to take in response to the Saudi regime's refusal to respond peacefully to Yemen's rightful and just demands.
​#Saudi_Arabia was given ample time to fulfill its obligations to address the repercussions of its brutal aggression against Yemen. The Yemeni people endured much suffering in the hope of reaching peaceful solutions away from military escalation. However, the Saudi regime has insisted on ignoring [demands], procrastinating, and betting on time to escape the implementation of its required obligations.
​During the four years since the 2022 truce until now, the Saudi regime has treated the aggression it committed for eight years as an internal Yemeni problem that it has nothing to do with, which is one of the biggest obstacles preventing a comprehensive solution.
​The Saudi regime has desperately sought to deny being behind the blockade imposed on Yemen. However, its recent aggression against Sana'a International Airport and its military statement—which treated Yemen as a Saudi province and threatened the continuation of the blockade—served as a scandal and an outright condemnation. It became clear to everyone, near and far, that it is the entity responsible for the disruption of Sana'a International Airport throughout the past years. Furthermore, it is the primary instigator behind the maritime blockade, where ships arriving at the port of Hodeidah face numerous complications. This doubles the financial cost of all imported goods, making their prices exorbitant for the Yemeni citizen.
​The Saudi regime's belief that it can indefinitely prolong the blockade is a mistaken assumption and a losing bet. Our Yemeni people have spoken their decisive word during Friday's unprecedented million-man protests, declaring that the grace period granted to the Saudi regime has ended. Through its foolishness and arrogance, it bears the consequences of any escalation, and a blockade for a blockade is the natural, legal, and moral response to the Saudi regime's stubbornness.
​We affirm that the Yemeni military stance aims to pressure the Saudi regime until it submits to what is right, completely lifts the blockade on Yemen's airports and seaports, and ensures Yemen has the absolute right to benefit from its sovereign wealth. Additionally, the humanitarian and salary files must be addressed, and the prisoner file must be swiftly closed without any procrastination.

Kenyans Challenge French Imperialism, Protest Africa-France Summit In Nairobi

On May 11, 2026, African delegates convened in Nairobi, Kenya, for the “Africa Forward Summit 2026”. The summit was co-chaired by Kenya’s Western-aligned President, William Ruto, and French President Emmanuel Macron, its theme: “Africa–France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth”. On paper, this summit marketed itself as a “paradigm shift” in Africa-France relations aimed at building “equitable”, “mutually respectful” partnerships between the two geopolitical entities.

But the antics of President Macron during the summit’s proceedings, the curious timing of the event itself, and the arrests of anti-imperialist activists and international delegates in Nairobi, who staged a peaceful protest against this summit, paint a very different picture of France’s intentions.
