@beshdebesht@_Peiceofgum Furthermore, this comment relies on linguistic prescriptivism, trying to enforce one “correct” way of language when language is a free-form concept and there are very few rules. Language is fluid, and there are no rules, only standards.
@beshdebesht@_Peiceofgum That is an incorrect stance, as a word is valid through collective use, shared meaning and must fit the sound rules. Octopi is a classic case of lexicalization, where an “incorrect” word is used commonly, thus making it an accepted word.
