I believe we have more than enough qualified architects in Kenya. The same architect who designs a toilet is equally capable of designing a skyscraper like the Burj Khalifa as long as is a trained and qualified architect. The real gap lies in the client’s budget and instructions. You simply cannot design what the client is unwilling to finance or resource. There’s no way you can pay your architect 50 KES, instruct them to design a structure not exceeding 3M, and still expect an ambience of a luxury home. The outcome will always reflect the budget simply because the resources are limited.
