#impactEDU19@MrsGadkey Loved your Flip Your Stations with @Seesaw. THIS WEEK I'm not going to try to get through instructions just days from winter break... I'm going to flip the station instructions to videos students can watch when they get to each station! Can't Wait!
Congrats to Mrs. Beck's 4th graders and Mrs. Roton and Mr. Johnson's 5th graders for unlocking the box in the newly created "STEM Trailblazers" @breakoutEDU! #623STEM
Thank you @CentralPark623 and @CPSparkLab for inviting me and a number of other community members to participate in your annual Special Friends/STEM day last week. My favorite part of these STEM events continues to be the interaction between students and adults.#WEare623#623STEM
Our 6th graders wrapped up their Drone unit this week by creating programs that would allow them to control their aircraft through motion sensors on their iPads. They got to test out their programs with obstacle courses set up in the gym! #623STEM
@codeorg The 4th-6th graders have three stations: a selection of @codeorg HoC tutorials, Dash programming with Blockly or Wonder apps @WonderWorkshop , and Coding Awbie with @PlayOsmo (I use these for K-1, but the intermediate kids were begging to try them out!)
We're so excited about the #HourOfCode2017 at CP, we're starting early! Over the next 6 school days all of our K-6 students will spend an hour or more coding in the Spark Lab! #623STEM
3rd graders got to try out the 2D version of CP's new virtual reality set! They have been programming Lego WeDo moon robots, so this week they were able to experience what the surface of the moon is really like! #623STEM
